This Privacy Policy explains how just-tapping (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the AudioCoach AI mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
The short version: AudioCoach AI records your voice only when you tap record, sends that audio to our processing service and Google’s AI to generate coaching feedback, and stores your sessions on your device. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use your recordings to train AI models.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
Voice recordings. When you tap record, the App captures audio through your device microphone so it can be analyzed for delivery coaching.
Context you enter. The session title and the “what you’re talking about” description you type to tailor the coaching.
Profile details. An optional display name and an optional profile photo.
Information generated by the App
Transcripts and analysis. Text transcriptions of your recordings and the resulting scores, feedback, and suggestions.
Practice history. Your sessions and recordings (“takes”), scores, and progress over time.
Information collected automatically
Subscription status. Whether you have an active subscription, provided by our payments partner (RevenueCat) and the app stores. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Basic technical/diagnostic data. Limited information needed to operate the service reliably (e.g., error events). We do not build advertising profiles.
2. Device Permissions
Microphone Required to record your voice for analysis. Recording only occurs while you are actively recording.
Camera / Photos Optional, used only if you choose to set or take a profile photo.
You can manage these permissions at any time in your device settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
To transcribe and analyze your recordings and return delivery coaching, scores, and suggestions.
To track your improvement across repeated takes within a session.
To provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
To manage your subscription and entitlements.
To respond to your support requests and comply with legal obligations.
4. How Your Recordings Are Processed
To generate feedback, your audio (and the context text you provide) is transmitted securely to:
Our backend service, hosted on Cloudflare, which forwards the request to the AI model; and
Google’s Gemini API, which performs the transcription and analysis.
Audio is transmitted for the sole purpose of producing your coaching results. We do not use your recordings or transcripts to train AI models, and we do not sell them. Your sessions and recordings are stored locally on your device by default; if you delete a recording or session in the App, it is removed from your device.
5. Third-Party Services (Sub-processors)
We rely on the following providers to operate the App. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies:

6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers listed above to operate the App, or where required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of users.
7. Data Retention
Recordings, transcripts, and session history are stored on your device and remain until you delete them or uninstall the App. Audio sent for processing is retained by our processors only as needed to deliver the service and as described in their policies. Subscription records are retained as required for billing and legal compliance.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Access and delete. You can view and delete individual recordings and entire sessions inside the App at any time.
Permissions. You can revoke microphone, camera, or photo access in your device settings (note: revoking microphone access disables recording).
Subscription. Manage or cancel through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Requests. Depending on where you live (for example, under U.S. state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold. Contact us using the details below to make a request.
9. Children’s Privacy
AudioCoach AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International Users
The App is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App, you consent to such processing.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
