HealthSync is a free app that checks outdoor air quality and weather, and suggests when it is safest for you to be outside. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your information. It is short because the app does very little with your data.
HealthSync has no accounts, no sign-up, and no servers of our own. We do not collect, store, sell, or share your personal information. Everything you enter stays on your device.
The following is saved only in the app's private storage on your phone. It is never transmitted anywhere, and we cannot see it:
Deleting the app removes all of it. You can also erase it at any time from Settings → Reset everything.
If you choose "Use my location", HealthSync asks iOS for your approximate location only. We deliberately do not request precise GPS, because the air quality data we use is modelled on a grid roughly one kilometre wide and a precise fix would not make the result any more accurate.
Your coordinates are used to request a weather and air quality forecast, and are rounded and saved on your device so the app does not have to ask again. We never attach your location to an identity, and we do not keep any history of where you have been.
You can decline the location permission and type a city name instead. The app works exactly the same way.
HealthSync makes requests to one third-party service: Open-Meteo, a free weather and air quality API.
Each request contains a latitude and longitude, and nothing else. It does not include your name, your device identifier, your health conditions, or any account information, because the app does not have those to send. Open-Meteo does not require an API key and we do not register the app with them in any way.

HealthSync contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. We do not track you across apps or websites, and the app does not use the App Tracking Transparency framework because it has nothing to ask for.
If you turn on reminders, notifications are scheduled locally by your phone using the forecast already downloaded. Nothing is sent through a push server, and we never see whether a notification was delivered or opened.
HealthSync does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the app collects nothing, there is nothing for us to delete on request.
If the app's behaviour changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
